The plan
The Sterling House is designed as a twelve-bed residence where the farm, the work and the plant-science program belong to the same daily routine.
Home-sized by design
The foundation plans to serve twelve people at a time. The aim is a household scale, with residents taking part in the place where they live.
The farm is part of the day
Residents would help operate the farm, grow food for the house and tend the animals. The plan is for the farm to supply the facility's food.
The plant-science program
The foundation is working with Elemental Kitchen & Laboratory, LLC to develop the plant-science approach it intends to use at the campus.
Where the project stands
The campus remains in the planning and legal phases. Business and operational plans are in development, and the foundation is raising funds for legal, licensing and renovation work.
